Eddie Vick Reynolds, Sr.

Eddie Vick Reynolds, Sr. was born October 30, 1963 to Annie RuthReynolds & the late Willie Lee Reynolds in Coleman, Georgia. He departed this earthly life January 31, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Deacon Eddie Reynolds attended and graduated from Randolph-Clay High School in the year of 1981. In school he was known as the best drummer around. He was a very humble guy and loved hanging out with his best friends Quinton Hudson, Michael Gilbert, and Robert Johnson. In 1969 the family decided to moved to Cuthbert, GA. Eddie and his family became members of the Big Bethel Free Will Baptist Church where he served faithfully as Chairman of the Deacon Board. Even though his health failed he was still attending church until the Lord called him home. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Annie Mae Shorter, and this union was blessed with three children, Christine, Keshia, and E.J. He was later united in Holy Matrimony to Helen Gudes on June 1, 2013. He was employed with Carey’s Supermarket for many years, after the closing of Carey’s he was employed at Dixie Discount as a Manager, which is now Piggly Wiggly until his health failed. Eddie was called from labor to reward on January 31, 2013. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Helen Gudes-Reynolds; his mother Annie Ruth Reynolds; his children Underekia (Travis) Smith, Christine (Trevis) Baldwin, Eddie Vick (Bria) Reynolds, Jr., Dexter (Shanita) Gudes, Helaine Gudes, and Lamar Gudes; four sisters, Elizabeth (Charlie) Hightower, Mollie Reynolds of Cuthbert, GA, Annie Collins, and Lavette Collins of Rochester, New York; three brothers, Jimmy Reynolds of Americus, GA, Willie and Tony Collins of Rochester, New York; twenty-three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; a special caregiver, cousin Brenda Green Wilburn. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Lee Reynolds, one sister Annie Faye Reynolds Johnson, two brothers, Willie Ed Reynolds and David Lee Collins. Video Tribute
