Mr. Willie Lee Hightower (77) passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, with family at his bedside at Fort Gaines Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Gaines, Georgia.
Mr. Willie Lee Hightower was born on March 06, 1947, to Mrs. Annie Belle Hightower Peterson and Willie Hightower, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Willie Lee Hightower leaves behind a legacy of love and closeknit relationships spanning multiple generations. He emphasizes the deep bonds he shares with his loved ones. He also loved driving trucks (18-wheelers) and being a mechanic.
He leaves behind a wife Lilly Berry; Six children (four sons and two daughters): Willie Lee Hightower Jr (Man), William Hightower (JoeJoe), Larry Banks (Pop), James Few, Sylvia Lowe, and Tiesha Lewis. He also leaves in cherished memory seven brothers: Jimmy Hightower, Charlie Hightower (Minister Elizabeth Hightower), Willie Ed Hightower, Joseph Peterson (Mary J. Peterson), Solomon Peterson (Celestine Peterson), Eddie Peterson all of Cuthbert, GA, and Johnny Lee Hightower (Pauline Hightower) of Miami, FL. Six sisters: Emma Burkes and Ola Belle Lovely, who preceded him in death. Prophetess Mary Forrester (Chief Apostle James Forrester), Pastor Jeanette Evans (Archie Evans), Carolyn Small, and Deborah Peterson, all of Cuthbert, GA. Mr. Willie Hightower (Son) also left a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins in cherished memory.
He will be remembered for the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them—and if you knew him, you knew it. Death is not extinguishing the light. It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.
