Wesley Waldon was born on April 14, 1958, to the late Tommy L Evans and Melvalene Waldon. He departed his life on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at his residence. A true character of our town, Wesley was a man who found joy in the simplest pleasures – a fresh-cut lawn, a favorite meal, and the thrill of a lottery ticket. To those who knew him, Wesley was always on the go, often seen with his lawn mower as he made his way through town. Cutting grass and helping others was his way of giving back to the community. Wesley never met a meal that he didn’t like, and he approached every lottery ticket as if it was a winner. A simple man with simple pleasures, he taught us that happiness doesn’t require grand gestures; it can be found in the small, everyday joys. Though luck may not have crowned him a millionaire he was rich in laughter, love and the joy of the little things.
Wesley will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors who grew to appreciate his unique presence and unwavering spirit. His walks through town with his lawn mower, will forever be part of our memories. May he rest in peace knowing his warmth will live on in the lives he touched. Wesly is now peacefully reunited with his parents, Tommy L Evans and Melvalene Waldon, and his Auntie/Mother Lucille Waldon in a place of eternal rest.
