Viola Scott, a beloved figure to many and a cherished member of her community, peacefully departed this world on November 28, 2024. Born on January 19, 1943, in Andalusia, Alabama, Viola’s journey through life was marked by kindness, compassion, and a strong sense of community.
Throughout her career, Viola dedicated herself to her work at a factory, where she eventually retired in Santa Clara, California. Her co-workers remember her only for her strong work ethic but also for her amiable spirit.
Viola was a well-known individual, someone who naturally got along with everyone she met. Her warmth and friendly demeanor left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Viola had a profound love for her faith, finding peace and fulfillment in reading her Bible. This passion not only nourished her spirit but also shaped her outlook on life, leaving her family and friends inspired by her example of steadfast devotion.
In her later years, Viola made her home in Shellman, Georgia, but her connections to family remained strong. She is survived by her loving husband, J. Floyd Scott; her sons, Joey B. Scott both of Shellman, GA, and Travis B. Scott (Lashawn) of Rosamond, CA; and her siblings, Willie Townsend, Lara Junior of Andalusia, AL., and Lillie (Bobby) Randall of Georgiane, AL. Each of them carries with them the memories of Viola’s laughter, love, and unwavering support.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Bell Townsend (mother) and Johnny Lee Townsend (father), who instilled in her the values that would guide her life.
Those who knew her will forever cherish her contributions to their lives, the lessons she imparted, and the love she shared.
As we remember Viola Scott, let us hold close the beautiful moments and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly within the hearts of her beloved family and friends.
