Verglene Webb

Mother Verglene Webb left this life for her new life on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 4:02 pm. She was the youngest of five children born to Mr. Raymond and Maude Thompson on August 30, 1930. Mother Webb was a member of Springfield Baptist Church of Fort Gaines, Georgia where she served faithfully as the Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher. She was also Head of the Missionary Department. She served under the leadership of Rev. Roosevelt Gardner where she remained until she departed this life. Mother Webb was married to the late Hubert Webb for over seventy-two years. Her oldest son, Hubert Webb, Jr., preceded her in death. She leaves four children to remember and celebrate her life, one son: Willie James Webb (Denise) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; three daughters: Annette Webb-Pittman of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Linda Bennett (Eugene) of Branson, MO and Brenda Masten (Bishop George) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; special daughter: Patricia Huff of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; special friends: Wendell and Pam Jones of Coleman, GA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. We also acknowledge a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, special friends: Bonnie and Jim Milner of Shellman, Georgia.
