Mother Rachel Lee Burnett Few was born in Ft. Gaines, GA on December 20, 1928 to the late Emanuel and Rosa Burnett. At an early age Rachel accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Shellman, GA, where she served faithfully as Mother of the Church and was the Church Secretary for many years. Mother Rachel attended school in Randolph County. She was married to the late John S. Few, Sr. On June 17, 2020 at the home of her daughter under Hospice Care, she transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Few, Sr; daughter, Mary Louise Alford; son, Eddie C. Few; grandson, David C. Lattimore; and four sisters and six brothers. She leaves cherished memories to her daughters, Ernestine Lucas (William) of Apopka, FL, Bonnie Brown (Supt. Jessie) of Albany, GA, Sandra Battle (John) of Gillsville, GA, Jacquline Denise Ball (Sam) of Fayetteville, NC; her sons, John Jacob Few of Atlanta, GA, James Edward Few (Renee) of Spartanburg, SC, John S. Few, Jr of Houston, TX, Arthur Lee Few (Tina) of Norfolk, VA, Willie Albert Few of Cuthbert, GA, Lee Andrew Few (Bonnie) of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Robert (Queen) Burnett of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Jimmy Lee Alford; daughter-in-law, Nellie Few; thirty-six grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; a friend, Aretha Green; a very special god daughter, Kameryn Kera Green; a host of other relatives and friends.
