Luster Arena Rogers was born to the late Malchester Wright Sr. and Mandie Bible Henrietta Robinson, both farmers in Baker County, Ga, on November 18, 1934. She was raised up in a Christian community and joined St. Matthews Baptist church at an early age where she became an active member of the St. Matthews missionary Baptist church choir, and this became a lifelong mission of serving God. She graduated from the Newton Colored High School in 1953 as an Honor Roll student. Luster would later meet the late Willie James Rogers at one of many gospel programs that spawned a courtship that led to marriage on November 26, 1956. From this union were born three sons that became her main focus in life after the passing of Willie James Rogers in 1972. Luster committed her faith and dedication to God in raising her three sons (Vertis, Maceo, and Malchester Rogers). She worked in hospitality at Andrew College for 19 and a half years and continued her career in the medical transportation industry as a transportation dispatcher. In 1972 she and her sons joined the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Randolph County, where she was a devoted leader of the missionary committee, Sunday school teacher, youth choir administrator, senior choir member and church van driver. Luster loved spending time with her boys, whether it was taking vacations, traveling to arts and crafts festivals, family reunions, or sporting events. She was a staunch supporter of family time together. Luster is survived by her three sons, Willie Alvertis Rogers (Telicia Fairbanks Rogers), James Maceo Andre Rogers (Sharon Tillman Rogers), Malchester Rogers (Shelia Thornton Rogers), six grandchildren (Stephanie Rogers Toomer (Antwan Toomer), Rashad Rogers (Candace Rogers), Alison Rogers, Mallory Rogers, Malchester Jamal Rogers, and James Alexander Rogers), two great grand kids (Christian Toomer, Caden Toomer), three step grandsons Derrell Gilbert Jr.,
