Michael Stewart

Michael Lashon Stewart was born March 6, 1973 in Benevolence, Georgia to the late Willie B. Stewart and Edna Nelson-Stewart. He departed his life on January 18, 2023 in Barbour County, Alabama. Michael joined New Hope Baptist Church at an early age in Shellman, Georgia. He graduated from Randolph-Clay High School in 1991 and furthered his education at Lincoln Tech in Nashville, TN. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic/Truck Driver for his very own “Pataula Freight”. While in high school he played football and baseball. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and traveling. Michael was once married to Wornetter Tamplin. Michael leaves to cherish his memory, one sister, Ella Stewart-Mincy of Cuthbert, GA; one brother, Robert Stewart. Also to forever cherish his memory a loving companion Tracy Mallory and step-daughter Deannilyn Dukes along with her children Denver Allen and Decota Dukes. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Willie B. Stewart and Edna Nelson-Stewart and two sisters Emma Caldwell and Thelma J. Coleman. Video Tribute
