Malcolm MAPP Brookins

January 22, 1965 — October 6, 2018

On January 22, 1965, Malcolm was born to the proud parents of Mr. Solomon (deceased) and Mrs. Wonnie Brookins.  He was affectionately given the nickname of “Mapp”. God blessed Malcolm with a unique personality to obtain friends, young and old.  No one was a stranger when he was around.  Once you met him, you did not forget his sense of humor and his contagious smile.  Malcolm loved helping people.  Malcolm was baptized in his youth and received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Virgil Chapel Church.  He attended Broward County Public School and received college credits in business. Malcolm was called from labor to rewards on October 6, 2018.  He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted mother, Mrs. Wonnie Brookins; daughters, Myesha Brookins and Mary Brookins; sons, Malcolm Brookins II and Markekell Brookins; four grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Brookins and Betty Burnett; three brothers, Marty James, Ronald James (Elizabeth) Donald James; special friend, Willie Mae Grant; several god children; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
