Mr. Lynn Garrett, Sr. was born June 27, 1940, in Weston, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Tom and Mrs. Annie Bell Garrett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Silver Rose Garrett and siblings, Ceola Garrett-Lowe, Clemmie Thompkins, Rosie L Thompkins, James Garrett, John Allen Garrett, George Garrett, and his son Scottie Garrett. He was a member of Saint Mark Baptist Church in Weston, GA. He did roofing and construction work for many years. Mr. Lynn Garrett, Sr. was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Silver Rose Garrett on December 31, 1965. He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed being around his family and friends. He was greatly known for Garrett’s Fried Chicken in which he owned for many years. He was a very giving and generous person. He was a hard worker and in his spare time he liked fishing, hunting, and cooking. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his children, one daughter, Sylvia (KeMario) Garrett-Huff of Leesburg, GA; six sons, Lynn (Phyllis) Garrett, Jr., of Cuthbert, GA; Duane (Caroline) Garrett of Lizella, GA; Jeffery (Gwen) Garrett of Mobile, AL; Willie Mitchell of North Carolina; Lance Burks and Larry Garrett of Melbourne, FL; his brother Willie Frank (Martha) Garrett; nineteen Grandchildren and twenty-seven Great Grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
