On February 7, 1957, Lindbergh Graddy was born to Gertha Hart and the late Felton Spence, but was reared by the late Lee and Mattie D. Walker in Cuthbert, Georgia, along with Sudie Mae Spence. He departed this life on Monday, May 17, 2021. Lindbergh attended Randolph County Elementary School and graduated from Randolph Comprehensive High School, where he served as Class President for four years for the Class of “75” and point guard for the Vikings. Afterwards he attended Andrew College. At an early age, Lindbergh joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He served faithfully as the Chairman of the Deacon Board, President of Sunday School and lead tenor of the choir. Lindbergh was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Sarah Knighton Graddy, June 25th would have been forty-four years. To this union two sons were born. Lindbergh worked continuously providing for his family as a Kellwood Receiver, Cooper Tires Trucker, Calhoun Correctional Officer, Piggly Wiggly Manager and Randolph Sheriff’s Detention Officer. All while serving as a City Councilman and Randolph County Board of Education Member. Lindbergh leaves to cherish his memories his faithful, loving wife, Sarah; two sons, Roddrick Graddy and Xavier Graddy Sr.; mother, Gertha Hart; step-mother, Sudie Mae Spence; four brothers, Arthur Hart Sr., Darryl Spence (Shelia), Anthony Spence(Vanessa), Reginald Spence (Tanya); three sisters, Joe Ann Molden, Theresa Hart, Mary Ann Hogan (Henry Jr.); two sistersin-law, Shirley Knighton-Yelverton (Joe), Deborah Knighton; fourteen grandchildren, Ta’Shiah, NaTahja, Zoe, Jaylan, Noelle, Xariah, Xaylah, Xavier Jr., Karson, Kamerria, Serenity, Xakari, Ahja, Ja’Mauri and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
