Lillie Mae (Johnson) Fillingame, was the daughter of the late Tula Mae Denson and Levi Johnson. She was born in Shellman, Georgia on November 11, 1928. On November 12, 2023, she transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home. Lillie Mae received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Virgil Chapel Baptist Church.
She received her education in the Randolph County School System and later earned her GED, as education was of the utmost importance to her. She met the love of her life, the late Choice “Puddin” Fillingame, Sr. and they were married for forty beautiful years. To this union, they had three sons and one daughter.
Lillie Mae had a zest for life! She enjoyed talking and laughing with family and friends. She also enjoyed game shows, crossword puzzles, and teaching her grands and great grands how to play cards. She was also an avid reader.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; two sisters, Odessa Burkes and Ellen Denson; two brothers, Levi “Bro” Johnson, Jr. and Jesse Denson; two sons, Floyd (Mae) Fillingame and Alvin Fillingame; one daughter, Josephine (Floyd) Goodwin; and one grandson, Floyd Jansen Fillingame.
Lillie Mae leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted son, Choice (Gloria) Fillingame, Jr. of Cuthbert, GA; A loving sister, Juanita (Samuel) Williams of Montezuma, GA; A loving brother, Marvin Johnson of Miami, FL; A sister-in-law, Shirley Fillingame; A host of devoted grandchildren: Rodriquez Fillingame, Sr. of Cuthbert, GA; Sonya (Keith) Williams of Decatur, GA; Tammy Fillingame of Akron, OH; Melissa (Antonio) Brown of Warner Robins, GA; Angela Venisee of Smyrna, GA; Raphael Fillingame of Albany, GA; Devon Fillingame of Akron OH; Choice (Kenyatta) Fillingame, III of Lawrenceville, GA; Gabreale Fillingame of Warner Robins, GA; Chalandria Fillingame of McDonough, GA. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to her caregivers, Shirley Knighton and Christine Gilbert.
