MSGT Retired Lawrence Eugene Dotson was born on October 25, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Florence Williams and Frank James Dotson. He departed this life on September 28, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son Otis Dotson. Lawrence was educated in the Toledo Ohio School System. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1946 and attained the rank of Master Sgt. He actively served in the Vietnam War. Throughout his military career he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. He retired from the Air Force in 1975 and began working for Eastern Airlines. Continuing his history of service, Lawrence became a Prince Hall Affiliated Master Mason in Toledo, Ohio where the 32nd degree was conferred upon him. He loved watching baseball and football, reading, and anything to do with computers. He was joined in Holy matrimony to his wife Eunice Foster-Dotson on December 26, 1992 in Cuthbert, GA. He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church until his health began to fail. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Eunice Foster-Dotson; daughters Jameeca (Rondell) Davis of Norfolk, VA and Olivia Dotson of Delran, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Marcus, Gabrielle, and Rondell II; Brother-in-law, Oscar (AJ) Foster, Jr of Crete, IL; Niece Lawanda (Deon) Garcia of Garner, NC; Nephew, Oscar (Kristin) Foster, III of Crete, IL, and a host of relatives and friends.
