Larry James Rogers Sr. was born April 23, 1963. He was the son of Joe Wallace Rogers and Christine Small Rogers, both of whom preceded him in death. At an early age, he joined Vilula Baptist Church, Cuthbert, Georgia. He was educated in the Randolph County School systems and is an alumnus of Randolph-Clay High School Class of 1981. He went on to attend college at Fort Valley State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. He was employed at Georgia Department of Transportation for numerous years. He also worked at Cooper Tire Company Albany, Georgia until the plant closed. He then worked at Georgia Feed Company Cuthbert, Georgia until his health failed. He was also preceded in death by a son Larry Rogers III and two brothers Frank and Tommy Rogers. Larry was the proud father of 4 children. He leaves to cherish his memories Ariel Rogers of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; Larry Rogers Jr., (Jessica) Columbus, Georgia; Braizee Rogers Blakely, Georgia; two sisters Elmira (Leroy) Peterson and Azzie “Phebe” Lewis; two uncles Wallace Rogers and Norris (Karen) Rogers; one aunt Betty Rogers Sturgan Cocoa, Florida; a devoted cousin John Robinson Winter Haven, Florida; a loving niece Twana Peterson Columbus, Georgia; a loving nephew Sekulve Peterson and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and talking to his loved ones daily
