Johnnie Lee Thomas

Johnnie Lee Thomas, (affectionately known as Tee) was born February 22, 1936, the second of four children born in Cuthbert, Georgia to the late Lewis and Leola Martin Thomas. Her parents, sister Mable and brother Robert, preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. After graduating from high school, Johnnie moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she lived and worked for over twenty years. As her parents aged and were met with health challenges, Johnnie returned home and became primary caregiver for the family. She rejoined her family church and regularly attended Antioch Baptist Church and Weaver Temple. On February 17, 2023, God called her home. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted daughter, Lavetta (Ron) Singletary; granddaughter, Breanne Singletary and great granddaughter, Shiloh; one sister, Irene Thomas of Philadelphia, PA; devoted cousins, Beverly Burks, Bianca Knowles, and Gean Ann (Michael) Terrell; her beloved ever ready road buddy, Nancy Evans; a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
