Bro. Fletcher L. Parkman, Jr., was on born June 8, 1967 in Springville, GA to the late Fletcher L. Parkman, Sr. and the late Mary D. Parkman. Pop, as he was affectionately called, departed from us on May 26, 2021 at his residence in Georgetown, GA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Addie Wiggins and brother, Charlie J. Parkman. At an early age, Fletcher accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized and entered into fellowship at Piney Grove Church. He attended the Randolph School System. He started working at an early age, logging at the age of sixteen. He was employed with Southern Timber until his health failed. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved ‘talkin wood’ with his work family, Freddie Jones, Brad Hudson, Chad Hudson, Mrs. Telisa, Terry, Mike Smith (Rip), Money Mike, Hamilton, and many more. He will truly be missed. Fletcher leaves cherished memories to his special love, Lavern Peterson; his legacy of ten children, Cedrick C. Johnson of Cuthbert, GA, Fletcher L. Parkman III of Buena Vista, GA, Charlie J. Johnson , Felecia Peterson, Priscilla E. Parkman, Danesha Parkman, all of Eufaula, AL, Amanda L. Biswick of Dothan, AL, Frelicious L. Parkman, Travis J. Parkman, Zy’Derrious Parkman, all of Georgetown, GA; two sisters, Daisy Parkman of Morris, GA and Stacy Ramsey of Cuthbert, GA; five brothers, Eddie W. Parkman and Tommy Parkman, both of Georgetown, GA, Jesse Parkman of Lumpkin, GA, Emmett Parkman and Garrett Slaughter, both of Cuthbert, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends.
