Ernest James Glover was born October 1, 1954 in Clayton, AL to the late Johnny and Melvie Glover. On September 5, 2019, at Southwest Georgia Regional Medical Center, he transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home.At an early age, Ernest acknowledged Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Old Mt. Sila Missionary Baptist Church in Clayton, AL. After marrying the love of his life, Gary Nell Glover, and moving to Cuthbert, GA, he joined Virgil Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and an active member. At the time of death, Ernest was employed as a Case Manager with New Horizon Randolph Service Center. Other places of employment included eighteen years served in U. S. Army and several years at Eufaula Adolescent Center in Eufaula, AL.Ernest was such a loving person. He loved fishing, lawn maintenance, family gatherings and helping others. He will truly be missed by all.In addition to both parents, Johnny and Melvie Glover, Ernest was preceded in death by one son, Sharome Brookins; two brothers, Fred and Johnny Glover. Ernest leaves cherished memories to his loving wife, Gary Nell Glover; three sons, Pastor Maurice (Latemple) Glover of Montgomery, AL, Johnny Washington Jr of Atlanta, GA and Shundell Washington of Cuthbert, GA; three daughters, Tamika Washington, Natasha Washington and Yolenda Washington, all of Cuthbert, GA; two sisters, Etherine Glover of Columbus, GA and Norma Jean Glover of Clayton, AL; two brothers, Pastor William (Elaine) Glover and Pastor Jackson (Yolinda) Glover, all of Clayton, AL; five brothers-in-law, Brag (Stephanie) Brookins, Lextrell Brookins, Dextrell Brookins, Eddie Brookins and John Brookins; one sister-in-law, Brenda (Alexander) Grooms; thirty-one grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
