Doris Ann Evans of Benevolence, Georgia, at age seventyone was born on May 27, 1953 to the late Eddie Lee Thomas and Annie Mae Thomas in Centerville, Alabama.
Doris loved the Lord and confessed her hope in him at an early age. She attended Hammond Tech Vocational High School. She was employed with the city of Hammond at the garbage department. After meeting the love of her life, she moved to Benevolence, Georgia, where she gained employment at the Cuthbert Cleaners for over fifteen years.
Doris Evans exchanged time for eternity on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eddie Lee and Annie Mae Thomas and siblings, Annie Louise Johnson, Mary Etta Thomas and Eddie Mae Thomas.
Doris leaves a legacy of love and inspiration to cherish fond and loving memories of her to her husband, Rivon Evans; two beautiful daughters, Ebony Johnson and Kenyatta Holmes; one sister, Vanessa (Ed) Burkes; one aunt, Pearle Ruthledge; one sister-in-law, Ernestine Spires; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a special cousin who she loved dearly, Prince Jones Jr.
