Danny Thomas, Sr.

Mr. Danny Thomas, Sr. was born to the late Mr. Arthur Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Georgia Mae Thomas on February 22, 1954 in Lumpkin, Georgia. Danny was the fourth born child. He transitioned into eternal life on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Danny graduated High School from Stewart County High School in Lumpkin Georgia. Danny graduated from Albany State University. He started his career as a teacher at Stewart Quitman High school. Later, he worked as a lead manager in manufacturing until his retirement. Among his hobbies were watching westerns and making people laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Thomas, Sr., brothers, Ronnie Thomas, Sr., Arthur Thomas Jr., and sister, Ruby Thomas Wilson. His memory will be treasured by his son, Danny (Nay) Thomas, Jr.; daughter, Yukema Oates; mother, Mrs. Georgia Mae Thomas; two granddaughters, Skylar Fitch and Taylor Fuller; five sisters, Bonita (Eddie James) Robinson, Sandra (Willie) Smith, Virginia Coley, Carolyn (Tim) Lewis and Sharon Chamber; four brothers, Rickey Thomas, Samuel Thomas, David Thomas and Breman Thomas; three aunts, Pauline Thomas, Fannie Powell and Betty Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
