Curtis Butler was born in Shellman, Georgia on November 27, 1943 to the late Arthur and Ora Pearl Butler. Two (2) siblings preceded him in death, Barney (Bobby) and Dorothy Butler. Curtis transitioned from labor to reward on June 20, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Curtis accepted Christ at an early age. He was a faithful and dedicated lifetime member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He attended school in Randolph County. He was the founder and owner of Butler Construction Company. He leaves to cherish his life and legacy Marion Butler, a loving and devoted wife of 54 years. Three (3) daughters, Subrina (Corey) Gamble, Tonya Butler, and Ronyetta (Jeffrey) Braswell who all reside in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Five (5) grandchildren; Courtney, Fabrisia and Brice Gamble, and Riaja and Jadyn Braswell. One great granddaughter; Kalaeopi Rose Elder. Three (3) siblings, Wylean Washington, and Arthur Butler both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Bertha Rowe of Decatur, Georgia. Three (3) sister in laws, Barbara (Preston, Sr) Fulse of Bloomfield, Connecticut, Gloria Johnson and Willett Pitts both of Cuthbert, Georgia. Preceded in death by two (2) sister in laws, Christine Coleman, and Georgia Butler and two (2) brother in laws Isom (Son) Graddy II and Johnnie Washington Sr. And a host of nieces and nephews who loved and adored him.
