Bobby Cotton was born on February 7, 1971, in Cuthbert, Georgia to the late Jimmie Clyde-Magwood and Steve Martin. He is a 1991 graduate of Randolph-Clay High School.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie Clyde-Magwood; grandmother, Nellie K Cotton; stepfather, Edward Magwood; three aunts, Virginia Thomas, Willie Mae Jordan, and Verna L Cotton; five uncles, Raymond Smith, Willie Smith, William Gus Cotton, Elmo Cotton, and Bobby Cotton.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a son Tommy Parkman of Cuthbert, GA and a grandson Tay’Vion J. Grier; father, Steve Martin of Boston, MA; two sisters, Shelber Cotton and Cassandra (Antonio) Carter both of Cuthbert, GA; three step-sisters, Masalena Gordon, Latoya Williams, and Shakella Curry; two nieces, Karisma Nunnally and Brittney Alford; five nephews, London Alford, Dominic Banks, Devin Nunnally, Dejauan Banks, and Melquan Alford; three aunts, Bennie Mae Allen of Albany, GA, Mattie Cotton of Blakley, GA, and Mary Lancaster of Hartford, CT; two uncles, George (Tammy) Cotton of Stone Mountain, GA and Jackie (Martha) Cotton of Cuthbert, GA; a host of cousins, great nieces & nephews, family & friends, and a devoted friend Willie C. James.
