Georgia Mae Coleman was born October 10, 1950 in Cuthbert, GA to the late Bragg and Lizzie Brookins. She won her fight with cancer gaining her wings on January 12, 2018 early that morning in the comfort of her home. Sister joined Virgil Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She worked at the Nuclear Plant for 5 years while also being a dedicated wife and loving mother. Sister as we called her was a woman of many talents. She was a wife first to the late Eddie James Coleman, Sr. being married 44 years. Together they had eight beautiful children. Four of her kids preceded her in death; Alice, Darlene, Tracy and Eddie Coleman, Jr. She leaves her legacy behind to her four kids Betty Tamplin (Amos), Dennis Coleman, Teresa Johnson (Carl), and Sharlene Edwards (Booker); Two sisters, Gary Nell Glover (Earnest) and Brenda Grooms (Alexander) both of Cuthbert, GA; one sister that preceded her in death Annie Doris Coleman (John Coleman, Sr.); Five brothers Bragg Brookins, Jr. (Stephanie), Dextrell Brookins (Carla), Lextrell Brookins (Holly), Eddie Brookins (Shunda), and John Brookins (Shunda), also a half-brother Tracy James of Donchester, MA and one brother that preceded her in death Charlie B. Brookins. She also had seven sisters-in-laws five of Cuthbert, GA and two of Florida. Sister had one sister-in- law preceded her in death Beverly Coleman and two brothers-in- laws Curtis and Daniel Coleman. There were four friends held special places in her heart Carline Cooper and Johnny Ellington both of Cuthbert, GA and Dora Carter and Gloria Shy both of Atlanta, GA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memories
