Jerry Allen Jivens. Jr was born February 7, 1948, to the late Jerry Jivens Sr., and Eva Mae (Fields) Jivens in Savannah, Georgia. He departed his life on December 5, 2017, at Barbour Medical Center in Eufaula, Alabama. He attended Spencer High School in Columbus, Georgia. He then attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee where he earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration. During his time in the military, he earned several medals including the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Jerry dedicated 23 years of loyal service to the City of Cuthbert where he worked as a Waste Water Treatment Operator. He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons; Jerry “Tony” Jivens (Columbus, Ga), and Jeremy Jivens (Cuthbert, Ga), four daughters; Veronica “Roni” (Tyrone) Dillard (Jonesboro, Ga), Andrea “Lori” (Pierce) Colton (Newnan, Ga), Patrice Jivens (Cuthbert, Ga), and Shanice Jivens (Columbus, Ga). Four sisters; Sandra Frazier, Barbara Williams, Janice Cooper (Savannah, Ga), and Thelma Foster (Augusta, Ga). One brother, William “W.J.” Jivens Sr. (Savannah, Ga). Two step-sisters; Betty Ann Mapson and Penny Tucker (Columbus, Ga). Two step-brothers; William “Bill” Graham and Julius Graham (Columbus, Ga). Five grandchildren; Aubrey and Austen Colton, Tyra and Trenton Dillard, and Abria Jivens. And a host of friends. He is preceded in death by three brothers; Eugene Jivens, Johnnie Lee Jivens, and Clarence Jivens.
