The final chapter in the beautiful life of Cliffie Harris-Henderson was written on March 4, 2016. Her departure from this world opened the door to God’s heavenly kingdom where she now rests in the bosom of Jesus Christ.Cliffie was born in Buena Vista, GA on May 5, 1917, to the late Hosley and Arlena Harris.Having confessed Christ Jesus as her personal savoir, Cliffie joined Bethel A.M.E. Church at an early age, where she served faithfully on numerous boards. Her willingness to share a word of encouragement and good cheer inspired others to move forward.She received her education at Vilulah Church School. She later found her passion while employed by the Randolph-Clay M.R. Center, where she worked as an Instructional Aide.In 1938, She was united in holy matrimony to Felton Henderson, Sr. In this union, 10 children were born. Three children and three grandsons preceded her in death.She leaves to cherish the memories of her life with her children: Willie Bob (Bernice) of Detroit, MI; Curtis of Shellman, GA; Mary (Joe) of Shellman, GA; Harris (Karen) of Miami, FL; Larry (Antoinette) of Dawson, GA; Brenda (Reggie) of Miami, FL; Teresa of Boston, MA; and a granddaughter that she raised Angela (Eric) of Miami, FL; 30 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. Two daughter-in-laws; Mary Jean Henderson and Victoria Henderson of Detroit, MI. Two sister-in-laws, Verna Harris of Richmond, CA; Doris Ford (Riley) of Jacksonville, FL. One brother-in-law, Clifford Henderson (Mae) of Miami, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
