She was the biological mother of three children and raised two as her own.A Time to LaborSister Williams was employed with the Randolph County Board of Education as a school bus driver and retired after 48 years.A Time for WorshipSister Williams accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Shellman, Georgia. She loved performing the Lord’s work. She faithfully served as the President of the Usher Board and Missions Board for many years until her health failed.A Time to LoveSister Williams truly loved her family, church family, neighbors, ex-coworkers, and pastor, Rev. Julies Holden, and his wife, Annie Doris Holden. She never met a stranger.A Time to MournAfter living a full and joyful life, sister Bertha Williams answered God’s call to go home at 9:04 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 in Cuthbert, Georgia.One son, Willie Albert Moore; four brothers: Earnest Moore, Jr., David Moore, Edward Moore, and Major Moore; and one sister, Annie Lee Alexander, all preceded her in death.A Time to CherishSister Bertha Williams leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters: Deborah McDaniel (W.C.), Cuthbert, Georgia, Barbara Bollinger (Ricky), Plainfield, Illinois, Lynn Braddy (Ferry), Statesboro, Georgia; a son, Leonard Steve Alexander (Alice), Cocoa, Florida; one brother, Calvin Moore, Cocoa, Florida; three sisters: Emma Barnes, Atlanta, Georgia, Jewel Collins, Cocoa, Florida, and Shirley Bryant (Lloyd), Miami, Florida; fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and Aretha Green, of Shellman, GA, a special friend who was like a daughter.
