She was raised by the late Jethro (Grandfather) and the late Lucille (Aunt) Shingles. The sweet "Holy Spirit" whispered in Marjorie Allen’s ear on October 4, 2015 at her home, "Well done , thy good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter into the joy of your master." Mat. 25; 23. At an early age Sister Marjorie Allen confessed her life to Jesus and joined the Piney Grove Baptist Church. As a member of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, she served as a dedicated member on many auxiliaries. She was a member of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter Eastern Star Friendship No. 137 and the Starlight Social Club. She was educated in the Randolph County School System. Mrs. Marjorie Alford was united in holy matrimony to Deacon George W. Allen and to this union seven children was born. She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her children George C. (Felicia) Allen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Corrence Allen of Miami, FL; Deoniece James of Cuthbert, GA; Bernard (Shamir) Allen of Lebanon, IL; Kisha Allen of Miami, Fl; Valeria Allen of Pompano Beach, FL; and Regina Allen of Kennesaw, GA. The God Daughters: Patricia Bell of Atlanta, GA; Sheila Gilbert of Cuthbert, GA. A special caregiver Zadorsey Blasingame. The grand children: Martavious, Jamal, Quadreguez, Jarvis, Kaseem, George, Michael, TraVeon,Edward, Declan, Aiden, Jayden, Josiah, Keron, Kendera, Vanishia, Amia, Quashondria, Ninundria, Aliyah, TaNiya, LaTasha, and Journee. The great-grand: Nadia, Corbin, and Preston. The sisters: Dorothy Kelley , Olivia Greenfield, Diane Alford, Sandy Alford, Yolanda Atwood, and Connie Alford of Easton, PA; and Judy Kelley of Abbeville, AL; the late Annie Woodson, Jessie Holden and Gladys Harris whom preceded her in death. The brothers: The late Willie Gray and Willie Alford Jr. whom preceded her in death and Rev. Freddie Starling, whom she called brother.Others who shared in her life were in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
