She departed her life at the Joanne Burgin Nursing Home on January 30, 2014She was educated in the Quitman County School System.Deloris Johnson Reid was married to Mr. Alfredrick Reid on April 8, 2000.She joined the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church at an early age and served as a member of the senior choir. After marriage, she joined Trinity Chapel Church with her husband and served faithfully until her health failed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lizzie Thomas and Johnny (Pop) Johnson, and two sisters, Evelyn Riddick and Mary Jane Owens.She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family, her husband, Alfredrick Reid of Cuthbert, GA; her three children, Edward (Patricia) Murphy, Jr., of Palmetto, GA, Rodney (Bernice) Murphy, Sr., of Cuthbert, GA and Shirley Jackson-Ollison of Cuthbert, GA; six brothers, Lycell (Beulah) Johnson, Joseph Faulker, both of Waterbury, CT, Harry (Debra) Johnson of Cuthbert, GA, Willie (Martha) Johnson and Weldon Johnson, both of Charleston, WV and Jeffery (Everlyn) Faulker of Bellmead, TX; four sisters, Ethel Perryman, of Louisville, KY, Johnny Mae Davis of Columbus, GA, Debra L. Johnson and Carla (Tommy) Parkman of Charleston WV; one special aunt, Ruby Johnson; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
