William Edwards, Pastor Essie Mae hall Sutton age 88 of Cuthbert GA passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2014 at S.W.GA. Regional Medical Center in Cuthbert GA .Essie was born on September 14, 1925 to the late Gordon Hall and Cassie bell warren. She was preceded in death by her sister Annie Bell Lewis.She was a dedicated and faithful member of Vilulah Baptist Church until her health failed. She retired from S.W.GA. Regional Medical Center where she had served as a cook for several years. She loved to cook for her family and friends.Essie was united in Holy Matrimony to Charlie Sutton they were blessed with one daughter.She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband, Charlie Sutton; one daughter, Charlie Mae Burkes both of Cuthbert, GA; seven grandchildren, Stoney Burkes, Vickie (Arthur) Calloway, Sharon(Willie) Smith, Angela Burkes, Sheila Grimes, Contrel(Bruce) Green, Sharonda Wilborn, all of Cuthbert, GA;   eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one son-in-law Willie C. Burkes, Cuthbert, GA; one sister Elvira Shorter; one sister-in-law Rethema Sutton both of Cuthbert, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
