Catherine James of Boston, MA passed away at the Sherrill Houes on Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was born and raised in Cuthbert, GA into a large and loving family. She was the daughter of Clarence Ross and Sally Davis. At some point in time she made her way to Boston, MA where she devotd herself to the loving care of her children and grandchildren. As a homemaker her pride and joy was to make sure that her children and grandchildren had a hearty meal at the beginning and at the end of each day. She was a strong woman who did not hesitate to speak her mind to whomever and always had her door open as well as her heart to help anyone in need. She brought laughter and joy to so many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, especially her family.The life and memory of our love one shall long be remembered. She is predeceased by her sisters: Sally Carr (Milton), Mattie Madsion, Allice Davis, Alene Bowing; her brothers: Clarence Davis, Hubert Davis and Emmitt Davis; her two daughters, Elizabeth Grady and Patricia James. She is survived by daughter, Marilyn Spicer (Walt) and sons, Isaiah James ( Amanda), Carl James (Mary), and Johnny James (Carolyn); her memory will also be cherised by her beloved godson, Rev. Williard Smith along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She raised three grandsons, Stanley, Tracy, and Stephen James.
