Antioch Baptist Church Interment: East View Cemetery Mrs. Silver Rose Garrett was born on July 9, 1941 in Leesburg, Georgia to the late Bessie French and the late Willie Ross. She departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. She was a member of McAfee Grove Baptist Church in Leesburg, GA where she attended school as a child. She furthered her career at Albany State College and received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Education. After graduating, she was joined in holy matrimony to Lynn Garrett Sr. on December 31, 1965. From this forty-seven year union, three children were born; two boys and one girl. Mrs. Silver Rose Garrett also dedicated 33 years of her life to the Randolph County Board of Education as a school teacher here in Cuthbert, GA; which explains her passion for teaching others. After retiring of faithful and dedicated service, she remained here in Cuthbert, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents; Bessie French and Willie Ross, and her oldest brother Edward Prince. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her husband: Lynn Garrett Sr. of Cuthbert, Ga.; her sons; Lynn (Phyllis) Garrett Jr. of Cuthbert, Ga and Duane (Caroline) Garrett of Macon, Ga.; Her daughter: Sylvia (KeMario) Garrett-Huff of Cuthbert, Ga. Two siblings: Andrew (Ann) Prince of Warner Robins, Ga; and Jimmy (Addie) Prince of Leesburg, Ga. Twelve Grandchildren: Mercedes Garrett (whom she raised as her daughter), DeMario Huff, Amari Huff, Dominique Garrett, Lamorris Garrett, Tavarus Bennett, Jeremy Bennett, Rebecca Henry, Tuanchia Neal, Cornell Garrett, Kanavia Coleman, and Ralph Porter. She also leaves behind eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends whom will miss her dearly.
