Vernon Baptist Church Fellowship Hall                             Deaconess Lillian Inez Greene was the first and only child born to the late Rayfield and Mary Manderville-Greene on April 17, 1945 in Bluffton, GA. As a child, she was fortunate to have been reared by her mother and grandmother, the late Pearl Fleming-Manderville. She confessed Christ as her Savior and joined Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Ulysses Brown. She attended the Randolph County Public School System and was a member of the graduating class of 1962. She also attended Dougherty County Tech College. After completing her schooling, Lillian relocated to Newark, NJ, but soon returned to her native home. She worked for Kellwood Company for thirty years as a factory worker, and later as a clerk in the office.  After retiring, she enjoyed cooking for the public, working within her church, as well as spending time with her awesome grandsons and beloved granddaughter. On Tuesday, September 27, 2011, Lillian finished her course and kept her faith.  Her memories will be treasured forever by her loving sons, Rickey LaCarter (Debbie) Greene of Strafford, VA, and Frederick Odgell Greene of Cuthbert, GA; one precious granddaughter, Jalyses Greene; seven grandsons, Mychal Paul Greene, Frederick Odgell Greene, II, Detravious Greene, Deion Greene, Krystofer Greene, Qyntin Greene and Tailia Greene; five aunts, Modis Manderville-Jacobs of Macon, GA, Mary (Rev. Aaron) Edmondson of Albany, GA, Mittie G. Jacobs of Orlando, FL, and Murbilee Manderville of Rockyford, GA; one uncle, Rev. Clarence Greene, Sr. of Orlando, FL; devoted cousins and friends, Shirley A. Jacobs, Deborah J. Manson, Willie Mae Starling, and Ella Francis Rainey and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
