James, Sr. was born September 1, 1957 in Cuthbert, Georgia to Sister Wonnie R. James Brookins and the late Booker T. Cannon. At an early age, he confessed Christ as his personal Savior and joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Cuthbert, GA. He was educated in Randolph County Public Schools. Throughout his life he was employed with several companies such as; REA, Settles, The Nuclear Plant, The Day Company, The City of Cuthbert, and Baker Hill. He was a hard working man. He was known to many as Hun Nun, Awesome Dawsom, and The Dawg. No matter what you called him when you needed him, he was there. In 1976, he was united in holy matrimony to Brenda Harris and to this union four children were born. He later had a son by Corena Wheeler. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Willson Hospice House in Albany, GA. He had two sisters and one brother to precede him in death; Acquanetta Cannon, Barbara Cannon, and Napleon Cannon. He leaves to cherish his precious memories one daughter, Lebreshia Bailey of Cuthbert, GA; four sons, Terrance James of Ft. Lee, VA, Lee James, Jr., Mario James, Anquen James all of Cuthbert, GA; a loving mother, Wonnie R. James Brookins of Cuthbert, GA; three sisters, Linda Brookins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Shenitha Jenkins, Cynthia Cannon both of Atlanta, GA; nine brothers, Malcolm Brookins, Marty James both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Willie Cannon, Benjamin Cannon, Elijah Muhammad Cannon, Bernard Cannon, TriAnthony Cannon, Randy Love, and Danny Love all of Atlanta, GA; four aunts, Annie W. James of Cuthbert, GA, Emma Brown, Shirley Brown both of Lumpkin, GA, and Daisy Kitchen of Americus, GA; two uncles, Marvin Cannon of Lumpkin, GA Willie C. Cannon of Americus, GA; six grandchildren, Tyerrah, Chadria, Terrance Jr., T' Ziah, Cornil, and Tyre; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.click here to view the memorial video
