Funeral Services: Saturday, April 16, 2011 2:00 P.MPiney Grove Baptist Church Interment: Piney Grove Baptist Church CemeteryRepast: Randolph County Elementary School Cafeteria Mr. Willie David Allen, known as "Billy" or "Goat" was born on March 27, 1939 to the late Johnnie B. and Lessie Mae Allen. He departed this life on April 10, 2011. At an early age, he confessed his life to Christ and joined Piney Grove Baptist Church. He later joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where served as a devoted Deacon. He attended Randolph County Training School. He later moved to Florida where he was employed at Hare Lumber Construction for 32 years. He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Barbara Owens and to this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by one son, David Allen, Jr.; two brothers, Leon "Pop" and George Allen; one sister Gussie Johnson and two great grandchildren to precede him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Raymond Lee Allen and Willie David Allen, Jr. of Clewiston, FL, Cenella Allen (Ronnie) of Cuthbert, GA, special daughter/granddaughter, Shamekas Singletary (Eddie) of Belle Glade, FL, Vickie Smith of Cuthbert, GA, Michelle Scriven of Cambridge, MD, Seneca, Altovise (Rodney) Johnson, Johnnie, Damarian, Lorraine all of Clewiston, FL, Janice Thicklin of West Palm Beach, FL; three brothers, Alto (Esther) Allen of Bloomfield, CT, Freddie (Linda) Allen of Benevolence, GA, Lewis Shingles of Atlanta, GA; five sisters, Johnnie (Arthur James) Knighton of Vaux Hall, NJ, Hattie Mills of Hartford, CT, Pearlie Dennard, Ozzie (CJ) Armstrong of Cuthbert, GA, Loretta (Martin) Embry of  Jacksonville, FL; one uncle, Roy Hills of Charlotte, NC; one sister-in-law Marjorie Allen; one aunt, Annie Ree Starling; forty grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, five special friends, Christine Joseph, Gussie Gregory, Lionel Whitehall, James Knight all of Clewiston, FL, Alice Thomas of Cuthbert, GA; a special friend, and devoted caretaker, Melvin Graddy.
