Vernon Baptist Church CemeteryRepast: Randolph County Elementary SchoolPauline Culbreth Downie, affectionately known as "Tutta", was born on May 14, 1932 to the late David and Nettie Culbreth.  She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board until her health failed.She was educated in the Randolph County School System.  She was loved by everyone whose life she touched.  Her saying was, "If I can help somebody as I pass their way, then my loving will not be in vain."Pauline leaves to cherish her memories her family whom she loved dearly and loved every moment she spent with them: five sons, Dawayne (Angela) of Atlanta, GA, Willie (Pamela), Willie (Cherly) both of Cuthbert, GA, John (Betty) and Freddie both of East Orange, NJ; one daughter, Joyce of Detroit, MI; one sister-in-law; twenty-two grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a loving, caring niece, Lois Hart; a special friend, Dora Gilbert; special caregivers, Mary Davis, Pearlie Dennard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
