Smith Learning ComplexSister Ella Ree Pope was born on November 25, 1932 to the late Mr. Henry and Ella Thomas in Morris, Ga.  She departed this life on December 27, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA.  She was baptized at an early age at Morris Baptist Church and later became a member of Jehovah Witness.She was preceded in death by four daughters, Hattie Pope, Carylon Pope, Ethel Pope, and Sherrion Pope-Davis.She leaves to cherish her loving memories four daughters, Marion Pope-Boota of Miami, FL, Patsy Thomas, Katherleen Pope both of Cuthbert, GA, Michelle Pope of Valdosta, GA; three sons, Willie Pope, Roger Pope both of Cuthbert, GA, John Pope of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Tara Shorter, Jarrod Shorter, Deon Pope all of Atlanta, GA, Larry Pope, John Pope, Jr., Nicole Evans, Ericka Evans, Michael Pope all of Valdosta, GA, Sherron Smith, Sandra Smith, Cobie Grooms, Mickey Grooms, Shantaye Grooms, Kesha Grooms, Eric Smith, Manuel Smith, Eddie Smith, Teresa Smith, Marlessa Smith, Barbara Smith, Ella Ree Pope, Elizabeth Pope, Denise Pope, Ben Pope, Bobby Hunter and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
